I am visiting the website for the first time and have noticed that there is no section for Eastwood residents to share their experiences about repair people. Is that not a topic that can be discussed here for some reason? I am always looking for recommendations on good repair folk--carpenters, painters, locksmiths, yard people, handymen--and would like to know the experiences of others before I call someone and wind up making a big mistake as has happened once or twice in the past, (sigh).

If a contractor is very very good, it would be nice if this site could be used to tell others about him. And if one is abominable, could others not be forewarned on this site?

Just wondering.

Great idea. We are looking for a professional landscape designer/developer as well as recommendations for a heat/air professional. Please post any recommendations!

We had a horrible experience with an electrical contractor who charged us $85 for a service call to come look at some outdoor fixtures that needed reinforcing. When the rep got there, they quoted us $800 to reinforce 2 outdoor fixtures. When we declined to move forward with their service, we were charged $85 for their time to come provide a quote.

Simmons Electric was great to come out and reinforce them for a much more realistic price and didn't charge us to come provide a quote.

We have used Patrick's Electric, Wiggy's and Service Experts for heat and air throught the years. And have been pretty satisfied with each.

I appreciate the service I get from Rick's Electric, Herman's Plumbing, and Hinton Heat/Air.

Any recommendations for a general handyman? I need a gate repaired and some other minor repairs done around the house.

Thanks!
